How to get to Paradise Island Samal

Paradise Island and Beach Resort Samal Island

If you’re itching to relax on a white sand beach here in Davao City, Paradise Island is one of the nicest and affordable resorts in Samal. If you want adrenaline rush activities like Parasailing you can read my post Parasailing is more WOW.

From the Airport:

You can take a cab, all taxi drivers in Davao know where to get the boat going to Paradise Island.  Km. 9, 1181 Sasa, Davao City, 8000 Philippines.  Taxi fare may be around P120.00 -150.00, it depends with the traffic and fuel price.

If you will take the jeepney from the airport, (this may be very complicated since you’ll have 3 rides to get to Sasa)
  • Take the airport shuttle to the main highway for P8.00,
  •  then from the highway take the Bajada Route via Buhangin for P8.00
  • then tell the driver to drop you to Camela North Point (subdivision) entrance
  • then cross the opposite street then ride a jeepney plying to Sasa. Just tell the driver to drop you to Paradise Island jump off point. For P8.00

From SM Mall of Davao Ecoland:

Taxi may be around P150.00 to P180.00

Jeepney :
  •  Ride the Sasa Panacan Route for P15.00

From Abreeza Mall:

Taxi may be around P80.00 to P100.00

Jeepney:
  • Ride the Sasa Panacan Route for P10.00

Take a short walk going to the wharf, need not to worry because the security guards will assist you for direction and Paradise Island boat staffs.
I recommend you’ll take the cab going to Paradise Island if you are in a hurry, less stress and more comfortable.  Have fun!

  1. Reminded me of my one and only trip to the island in 1998 --- that was during our company yearly conference doubling as an outing. In a word, it was magnificient! i have a ton of photos to go with it.

  5. I don't know. There are a lot of resorts in Davao and honestly, I wouldn't recommend Paradise Island. I think it's only popular because it's one of the first resorts in Samal but the beach there isn't that great. The water is too far during low tide so you can't go swimming at all.

I have to mention though that they have a great restaurant (although a bit pricey) and they're accessible compared to other resorts.
