with its beauty and serenity. Dakak started operation on 1988, was conveniently positioned in the southern part of the Philippines and surrounded by mountains in its west. Situated at Taguilon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte, Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt, making it an ideal all-season destination for travelers. Dakak is the first five-star resort in Mindanao with an "AAA" accreditation from the Department of Tourism, located along a private 750 meter white sand and beach. Dakak Park and Beach Resort continuously strive to carry out its mission - "an abundance of recreational activities and entertainment, warm Filipino hospitality and environmental friendly ambiance."

We were there last June, 2008. Oh I miss the place, sigh! I would love to go back there next time soon with the whole family.

We stayed 2 nights and 3 days, in as much as we wanted to stay longer but paying 15,000 for the 2 nights accommodation is way too much for me, I'm TUKLASERANG MATIPID remember? Hahahaha

We had a great stay, staffs were so accommodating, food? Sumptuous!!!

Although on our first night our phone intercom was not working, too bad it was raining, I was suffering from dysmenorrhea that time and needed to drink something warm. My husband just got out with towel to protect him from rain. I felt bad for him but I have no choice. Next time check your "phone intercom" since that's the easiest way to get in touch with the front desk, but amidst all that, will still give them my THUMBS UP!

  Accommodation

Dakak's accommodation consists of 158 fully furnished rooms built in native duplex bungalows made of bamboo and with capiz shell window panes and family pavilion rooms. There 64 Bungalows with 100 Deluxe Rooms; 16 Prime Deluxe Rooms; 12 Beachfront roomsl there Family Pavilion with 30 rooms and one Presidential Suite.

How To Get There

• Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific have daily trips to Dipolog City from Manila and Cebu Pacific flies four (4) times a week to Dipolog City from Cebu's Mactan International Aiport. All guests are escorted from the aiport via private bus for a 45-minute trip to the resort.

• Guest can take daily fastcraft from Cebu to Dapitan City. Trips from Cebu City to Dapitan City is five (5) hours with stop over in Tagbilaran City and Dumaguete City.
• From Zamboanga City, you can take  Ceres bus line to Dipolog City which is 8 hours away.
