My husband and I decided to spend one night at Tibiao, Antique for a spa after gotten tired tanning ourselves (if you know me well, you wont believe this line hahaha) in Boracay. Tibiao , Antique is 76 kilometer away from San Jose Buenavista and 86 kilometers away from Caticlan Aklan.
Getting there
From Caticlan
• Upon exiting Caticlan Port, turn right and walk your way to San Jose Buenavista Bus terminal. There you will see non-AC buses plying to Iloilo, Culasi and Pandan. Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
From Iloilo City
• Take a bus or van from Molo terminal bound for Culasi or Caticlan. Travel time is about 3 hours.
From Culasi
• Take a bus from Culasi to Brgy. Importante. Travel time is 20 min.
We also asked if there are aircon buses going to Tibiao, but unfortunately there's nada! It's cheap though! anyways, we paid 163.00 each (Caticlan-Iloilo route with stops along Culasi and Brgy. Importante ).Traveling time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Just tell the konduktor (ticket collector) to drop you off at Brgy. Importante.

From drop off to Kayak Inn we paid 100 each per habal-habal , we took 2 habal habal since we have huge individual backpacks, but you can haggle it for as low as P75.00 pesos each per ride. Traveling time is about 30 minutes.
Halfway through our trip, we were stopped for tourist log in and paid 100.00 each toll fee and tourist tax! right in the middle of the "bukid" there's "buaya" I really don't understand those charges! oh well, prepare to be broke! good thing when we arrived at Kayak Inn, ate Sheila and Kuya Edwin is so warm welcoming!
