It has been 8 years since I started to attend the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City held during the month of August. This time, its different, I'm traveling with my mom and nephew but due to some flight delays, we were not able to witness the street dancing competition.I told them don't fret we can still witness the float parade tomorrow. After years of attending the festival, Chowking branch along San Pedro st. is a good spot to watch the parade and avoid the crowd.

After the parade, we head to the biggest mall in Davao City which is Sm Lanang. We were lured by the huge discounts offered by some shops during the festival. Brat pack was one of them and we were able to buy 4 pairs of our favorite brand for 2 years "Fitflop" for a discounted price. By the way, we saw Joey Ayala too performed on stage.
The following day, we visited Paradise Island Beach Resort in Samal Island. We keep coming back to Paradise Island for three good reasons. The food, ambiance and the beach.

t was still a fun little getaway for the weekend. My mom and nephew enjoyed a lot.
