BATAD ADVENTURE WITH MY RELIABLE FITFLOP

I’m not a mountain climber or a certified trekker; in fact
I’m a lazy bee hahaha, but last summer I had my fondest summer experience. I
traveled from Davao
to as far as Ifugao. I must admit it was indeed the fondest, why? Hmmmm let’s
just say I was able to trek Batad and was able to reach Tappiya Falls in half
day which was so extraordinary! (according to our Batad / Tappiya guide Dandy)
According to him, in his entire life as a tour guide, it were only us who have
done a back and fort trek in half day.

Hiking Time: 7 hours
- From Batad saddle to tourism information center it will take
you about 1 hour and 30 minutes hiking.
- From Tourism information center to Hillside Inn ---- 15
minutes
- Hillside Inn to midpoint of Rice Terraces ---- 30 minutes
- Midpoint of Rice Terraces to Tappiya Falls
--- 1 hour and 30 minutes
- Tappiya
Falls back to Midpoint of
Rice Terraces --- 2 hours (due to ascending trek)
- Midpoint of rice terraces to saddle is 1 hour and 15 minutes
I was quite hesitant of hiking Batad down to Tappiya Falls because I did not bring any hiking
shoes but my ever reliable FITFLOP WALKSTAR INDIUM suffices my fears into
success. Thanks Fitflop!

ReplyDeleteyeah an tibay talaga ng Fitflop, I went to Palaui the same year and hiked for an hour using the same Fitflop. Until ngayon buhay pa rin :-).

I loved it, I think I need one before I go for the Overnight Desert Safari , because I was confused what to wear during the trip. The suitable choice ware boots because they help you on walking sand but who can wear boots from evening till morning?
