Crossing over to Johor Bahru..Cheap Alternative

To cut the airfare cost of our trip we decided to fly from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur instead of Singapore. Buses run almost every hour from convenient locations around Singapore. From Queenstreet, we took a Causeway Link bus to Johor Bahru. The journey time takes 1 hour and the fare is around SGD 2.40.
 
Now that you are on the bus, take a nap and your vehicle will get you to the Woodlands Checkpoint. At the checkpoint, bring your stuff with you and get your passport stamped/checked. Hold on to your ticket, and queue up where your bus will stop. So for SBS’s head to the long line, Causeway Link is on the far right and SJE is where not many people are queuing. Show your ticket to the conductor and off you go.

• From Larkin bus terminal, there is one bus (Bus No. 333) going to Senai Airport. The fare is around RM 3.5.

• Larkin bus terminal is a crowded terminal full of touts and money exchangers. Just be extra careful when dealing with money exchangers.

• Senai Airport is not a sleeping airport, seats are not that comfy but the departure area is well designed. Banks and Money exchangers inside Senai will open as early as 4:30 am.and closes around 6:30 pm.

• KFC fastfood inside Senai Airport is open 24/7.
