Revisiting the Niagara of the Philippines

Looking back two years ago when we first visited Tinuy-an Falls, the falls is not that strong compared before yet the beauty still remains, it is still majestic indeed. Towering at 55 meters with a width of 98 meters, this tourist attraction is a must visit when  visiting Surigao del Sur. I'm sure you won't regret it. The Pepsi Blue Water of the Enchanted River



The Enchanted river is located at  Hinatuan 25 kilometers away from Bislig.    You can hire a motorcycle / habal habal for Php 200-300.

A group of technical and cave divers penetrated the hole. They were able to penetrate the main chamber and descended to 87 meters but the divers said "It's just too deep". They marked the end point of the map "Point Unknown" or basically unexplored.

Rent a life vest for P100.00 for maximum safety

They are now collecting P20.00 entrance fee per person for maintenance and preservation. There are  cottages available for rent for P100.00. What's bothering me was the TOLL FEE of P10.00 per head being collected at the check point (toll gate made of bamboo) a kilometer before the Enchanted River. The receipt is quite cast doubting, but I hope it will not go to someone else pocket instead it will serve its purpose.

Getting Here

• From Davao City Overland Bus Terminal, take a bus going to  Mangagoy, Bislig City.
•  From Bislig City bus terminal, hire a motorcycle  to the falls. It will cost you around P600-800 round trip.
